Faith Nery – Inclusion Teacher

Grade: 3rd

Role: Inclusion Teacher

Career: I have been teaching for more than 20 years. I went to Graduate School at Wheelock College in Fenway (now part of Boston University), and I am licensed to teach in General Education and Special Education with SEI Endorsement. At the Conley School, I started as a Special Education teacher before teaching 3rd grade for many years now. Before joining the Boston Public Schools, I taught in Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School. Third grade is the most challenging, but it has become my favorite grade level. I love discovering their learning styles, witnessing the different stages of learning new things and breaking through challenges. It’s very fulfilling to witness their growth in the process and bear witness to their successes. In general, third grade can be overwhelming, but I always tell my students, “Learning is a process. You don’t always have to get it the first time, and it’s okay!”

About Faith: “Well, I was born in the sign of water… And it’s there that I feel my best… It’s kind of a special feeling…” I like walking on the beach, smelling the sea breeze, and collecting heart-shaped stones in the seashore. When school is out, I look forward to spending time with my family and friends.
